In 1974, Luigi Berger inherited the family farmstead from his aunt and uncle Glesaz. He immediately grasped the enormous naturalistic value of the site and began to dream of sharing that beauty with people who could understand and respect it. So he decided, together with his wife, to build a small inn. However, other business led him to the lower valley, and so he rented the structure to the Curia, which turned it into a summer camp for children.
Years later, the Mont Avic Regional Park was established, and Luigi decided to make the most of his dream. In the summer of 2006, the Hotel Parc Mont Avic, dedicated to his mother Jolanda, came to life.
In 2017, his daughter Federica and director Giovanni launched an ambitious management project for the structure, giving birth to the Mont Avic Resort. Over the years, this project gradually developed and in 2024 the “Silou Retreat”, a unique and inimitable destination, was born. This process naturally evolved, culminating in the creation of a place sought after by national and international guests looking for peace and beauty. The Silou Retreat is constantly evolving and there will be big news in the near future.
